Brussels Sprouts with Red Barn's Own Maple Bacon

Up your vegetable game this Thanksgiving with this sweet and smoky roasted Brussels Sprouts recipe from our ‘Cooking with Liv’ local recipe series! Don’t forget the bacon!
Ingredients
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 strips Red Barn’s Own Maple Bacon, chopped
- ¼ cup diced onion
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Brussels sprouts by trimming the ends and cutting them in half lengthwise.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, maple syrup, thyme, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Toss the Brussels sprouts in the maple-thyme mixture until evenly coated. Spread them out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, cut side down.
- Sprinkle the chopped bacon and diced onion evenly over the Brussels sprouts.
- Roast for 20–25 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are golden brown and the bacon is crisp.
- Toss halfway through for even roasting.
